About Us

Our practice of Yōseikan Budō focuses on developing practical, efficient techniques for self-defence.

Training is also a process of personal growth—one that requires time, dedication, discipline, and a willingness to move beyond our believed limits.

With consistent practice, students gradually build effective technique, physical strength, mental focus, resilience, self-awareness, compassion, patience, and sound judgment.

We view practice as a path: progress comes from taking each step, learning from every challenge, and returning to the training with consistency.

Because every student is different, each person travels along this path in their own way and brings something of themselves to their practice.

The teacher draws on years of training with their own teachers and on the daily practice of living these principles.

In a safe and respectful dojo environment, students learn strong fundamentals and receive individual guidance as they develop.

This approach allows everyone to progress at a pace suited to their abilities and goals.

The goal may be mastery of effective self-defence, but the journey matters just as much. By working through obstacles and setbacks, we develop the strengths and abilities that carry beyond the dojo.

Over time, we become better equipped to meet life’s difficulties, steadier in the face of outside pressures, and more confident in ourselves.

We believe adults, youth, and children can all benefit from this practice—improving their own lives and positively influencing those around them.
